HUNGERIAN CINEMA'S LEGEND..MARTA MESZAROS..91.

The first female filmmaker of Hungarian cinema..respected Marta Meszaros is now 91 years old!

After making short films, Meszaros directed her debut feature film 'The Girl' in 1968. She made 25 documentaries & over 15 feature films.

She is best known for her 'Diary For My Children' (1984) which won..'Grand Prix' at 'Cannes Film Festival'! It was a first film in a trilogy of her.. autobiographical films..which includes 'Diary For My Lovers' (1987) and 'Diary For My Father And Mother' (1990). She also won 'Golden Bear' at 'Berlin Film Festival' long back!

I met Marta Meszaros in our 'International Film Festival of India' (IFFI) at Delhi..25 years ago!
