Tarak Mehta..Original writer of famous televisiona serial 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma'.

One year over..Gujarati playwright & telewriter Taarak Mehta left this world!

Best known for the column 'Duniya Ne Undha Chasma' which he wrote for Gujarati periodical. In that he touched upon contemporary issues with satiric approach! He was a well known playwright on the Gujarati theatre!

He became famous with television serial 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' which SAB TV started in 2008. For that his contemporary writings in newspaper & periodical were compiled & adapted into tv series!

Mayur Vakani (Sunder) & Disha Vakani (Daya) real & serial brothers!

In 'Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma' there is fictitious 'Gokuldham Society' and members in which six families from different parts of the country..focused with their day to day life through the satiric eye!

Apart from the main characters like popular Jethalal (Vinod Doshi) & Daya Bhabhi (Disha Vakani)..the show also has a character called Tarak Mehta played by Shailesh Lodha!

He wrote 80 books and received Gujarat Sahitya Akademy's 'Sahitya Gaurav Puraskar' in 2011! He also honoured with Padmashri samman in 2015!
