Before entering in politics..J. Jayalalitha was a Queen of Tamil Cinema! Began as 
a child artist in Kannada film..she then became a leading actress of entire South Indian Cinema! As a trained classical dancer & western music..she presented programmes on stage too!

J. Jayalalitha performed various characters in different genre of films and acted with senior leading heros of her time. From 1965 to 1973 she starred in 28 super hit Tamil films with M.G. Ramachandran! She also acted in one Hindi movie 'Izzat' (1968) with Dharmendra!

Jayalalitha's award winning performances were in films 'Pattikada Pattanama' & 'Chandhro- dhayam'! She won 'Tamil Nadu State Best Actress' awards for films 'Raman Thediya', 'Suryagandhi' and 'Thirumangalyam'! She had 119 jubilee hit films out of 125 in her film career during 1961 to 1980!
