Today is 102nd Birth Anniversary of famous American Actor Eldred Gregory Peck..best known as Gregory Peck!
Young actor Gregory Peck.

As a trained actor Gregory Peck began his acting career on stage in 1941 when he played a role in George Bernard Shaw's play 'The Doctor's Dilemma'..Then as a lead he started acting on Broadway with 'The Morning Star' (1942).

He made his screen debut with a film 'Days of Glory' (1944)..after that up to 'Twelve O'clock High' (1949) he nominated for Academy Award for Best Actor five times! During this period his important role was in Elia Kazan's 'Oscar' winning film 'The Gentleman's Agreement' (1947).

By 1950s Gregory Peck became most famous! Then he acted in various films with different genre. After earlier socials..he did adventure & action films like 'The Gunfighter' (1950), 'Man in the Fannel Suit' (1956), 'On the Beach' (1959) & super hit romantic 'Roman Holiday' (1963) with pretty Audrey Hepburn!

In this his powerful roles in adventure war film 'The Guns of Navarone' (1961) & classic western 'Mackenna's Gold' (1969) are unforgettable!

He won 'Best Actor Oscar' in 1962..for his performance as Atticus Finch in film 'To Kill a Mockingbird'!

In 1967 Gregory Peck was the President of the 'Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences'! And he was a Chairman of 'American Film Institute' from 1967 to 1969!

In 1999.. 'American Film Institute' named Peck among 'Greatest Male Stars of Classic Hollywood Cinema'!
