TAIWANESE MASTER FILMMAKER..ANG LEE!

Today is birthday of renowned Taiwanese filmmaker, three time 'Oscar' winner..Ang Lee!

 

Asian contemporary screenwriter & director..Ang Lee's earlier films explored the relationships and conflicts between tradition & modernity in Eastern and Western!..His such films 'The Wedding Banquet' (1993) & 'Sense and Sensibility' (1995) won 'Golden Bear' awards at 'Berlin International Film Festival'!

Then Lee's 'Lust, Caution' (2007) won 'Golden Lion' award at 'Venice Film Festival'! And his famous film for special effects..'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' (2000) won 'Oscar's Best Foreign Language Film' award! 


Remembered meeting an actress of it..Michelle Yeoh in our 'International Film Festival of India' at Goa!

Lee has won the 'Academy Award for Best Director' twice..for 'Brokeback Mountain' (2005) and 'Life of Pi' (2012).
