BICYCLE IN GREAT ITALIAN CINEMA!

On today's Bicycle Day, I remembered two Italian films..close to my heart!

Bicycle represents common people life and I found its appropriate use in Italian Cinema!..Here are two great examples of it..

This first picture is from Italian Neo-Realism master filmmaker Vittorio De Sica's film 'Bicycle Thieves' (1948).

This second picture is from post Italian Neo-Realism, but showing it in a lighter way..
in Italian actor-writer-director Roberto Benigni's film 'Life is Beautiful' (1997).

In these both the films..father and son are with the hopes for good life in very adverse situation and..behaves sensibly!

Both these Italian films won 'Oscar's 'Best Foreign Language Film Awards'!

It's my emotional tribute to both these films!!
