Legendary Italian music composer Ennio Morricone at work!

Now the year is over..Maker of popular tunes of classic films..legendary Italian music composer Ennio Morricone left this world!

Year back, I wrote here about my attachment with favourite Italian film 'Cinema Paradiso' (1988). This had music by Morricone. Romantic tune for the old filmclips screening in it was superb!

He became famous with his popular tunes for hit Hollywood Westerns like 'The Good, the bad and the ugly' (1966). Apart from that, he composed.. music for different genre of films like romantic 'The days of heaven' (1978), period 'The Mission' (1986), social 'The Untouchables' (1987), political 'In the line of fire' (1993) and a science fiction.. 'Mission of Mars' (2000).

He composed music for almost all films of renowned Italian filmmakers..'A fistful of dollars' fame Sergio Leone & 'Cinema Paradiso' fame Giuseppe - Tornatore! During more than fifty years of his career..he composed over 400 scores for cinema and television. In this about 100 are classical works!

Morricone got prestigious awards..in this includes 

3 'Grammy', 3 'Golden Globe' & 6 'BAFTA'. And in 2016 he won 'Oscar' for his outstanding score to Quentin Tarantino's film 'The hateful Eight'!
