'CANNES' HONORED JODIE FOSTER!


Renowned Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodovar presented
'Palme d'Or honor' to veteran actress Jodie Foster!

American graceful actress and filmmaker Jodie Foster just awarded the 'Honorary Palme d'Or' at this 74th 'Cannes Film Festival'.

Jodie Foster has over 50 years of working career on small and big screen. In 1968 as child artist she appeared on television and in 1972 in cinema. In 1976 she became popular teen idol by starring in Disney's film 'Freaky Friday'! Same year she showed her offbeat performance in Martin Scorsese's thriller film 'Taxi Driver'!

In 1988 as an adult, her role of rape survivor in film 'The Accused' got critical acclaim and she won 'Oscar's Best Actress award! Then in 1991 she again won this 'Oscar' award for her role as FBI trainee in search of serial killer in film 'The Silence of the Lambs'!

Same period, she made her directorial debut with family film 'Little Man Tate' and in 1992 founded her production company 'Egg Pictures'. She also did main roles in her such films like 'Nell' (1994).

After that, as an actress her notable films were 'Panic - Room' (2002) and 'The Brave One' (2007). But soon she concentrated on direction and made critically acclaimed films. In these includes she acted 'The Beaver' (2011) and 'Money Monster' (2016) for which she directed to most popular..Julia Roberts!

Jodie Foster also won 3 'BAFTA' & 3 'Golden Globe' awards. And she was honored with the 'Cecil B. - Demille' award!
