One of the pioneering film - makers of Iranian New Wave Cinema..Kiarostami got critical acclaim with the 'Koker Trilogy' (1987–94) & 'Close-Up' (1990).

His film 'Taste of Cherry' (1997) won 'Palme d'Or' at the 'Cannes Film Festival'!

He made over 40 films includes shorts, documentaries, features! His last film was 'Like Someone in Love' (2012). 

He got worldwide admiration & won awards in many film festivals!
