EXCLUSIVE!
TEENAGE-INFATUATION SHOWED BY GARY & RISHI!
Gary Grimes & Jennifer O'Neill in infatuation scene of 'Summer of 42' (1971). |
Teenage boys' infatuation towards young women is natural! Actually that is nothing but physical attraction! And filmmakers used this plot sensibly in their films!
In
this I found similarity between Robert Mulligan's American film 'Summer
of 42' and Raj Kapoor's our Indian movie 'Mera Naam
Joker'..coincidentally both the films made during 1970!
Though 'RK's 'Mera Nam Joker' movie centred on a 'making of clown'; but early teenage life of this man relates with the love (or attraction) towards his young beautiful teacher!
Same plot Robert Mulligan carried in his film 'Summer of 42' in which young boy awaits for his first sexual - encounter & finds it with young woman on island! (See above picture).
Beautiful Simmi Garewal in that bold scene of 'RK's movie 'Mera Nam Joker' (1970). |
'Mera Nam Joker' was written by K. A. Abbas and teenager Rishi Kapoor acted as young RK! He did that kind of an 'infatuation scenes' innocently with pretty gorgeous Simmi Garewal in this movie!..On other side coming-of-age film 'Summer of 42' was based on it's screenwriter Herman Raucher's own memories! That is why name of boy is "Hermie" in this film and Gary Grimes played his role. He showed attraction towards beautiful married woman acted by Jennifer O'Neill.
'Mera Naam Joker' did not get the success like classic 'Summer of 42'!
Both the films are in 50th anniversary!!
