Today is 111th Birth Anniversary of one of the great actors of our Indian cinema..Gajanan Jahgirdar!

Keshavrao Date & Gajanan Jahgirdar in 'Shejari' (1941).

Best known for great performances in 'Prabhat's landmark Marathi movies 'Ramshastri' and 'Shejari' made in 1941!

He also did good character roles in Hindi films! He also wrote & directed few notable films!

He was honoured with many awards in state and in 1962 he won National Award for his film 'Vaijayanta'!

I still remember meeting Jahgirdarji at 'Prabhat' ceremony in Pune many years ago!
