Filmmaker James Ivory with 'Oscar' Award!

Today is 93rd Birthday of an American Filmmaker James Ivory!

 

He mostly worked with Indian-born Producer Ismail Merchant and the Screenwriter Ruth Prawer Jhabvala. 

 

Their association with our Indian Actor..Shashi Kapoor was also notable. He acted in their 'Merchant-Ivory Production's films like 'House Holder (1963), 'Shakespeare Wallah' (1965) and 'Bombay Talkie' (1970) with wife Jennifer Kendal-Kapoor!

 

 

Almost all of  their work got international recognition. James Ivory won 'BAFTA' 

& 'Oscar' of 'Best Adapted - Screenplay' for the film.. 

'Call Me by Your Name' (2017).
